MeDeMAP will participate in the upcoming Communication and Media Days Split 2026 with a special screening of the film essay AGON: Constructions of Democracy.
The event will take place on June 5, 2026, at 16:00, in the conference room at MedILS, University of Split, Croatia, as part of the conference theme “The Role of Journalism in Endangered Democracy.”
Created by Ali Minanto, Nico Carpentier and Jhon Sany Purwanto, AGON: Constructions of Democracy explores democratic life, participation, and social contestation through an experimental audiovisual narrative. The screening invites reflection on how democracy is constructed, negotiated, and challenged within contemporary societies.
The event forms part of MeDeMAP’s broader commitment to fostering critical discussions on media, democracy, participation, and public discourse across Europe.
