The session will take place in person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Titled \u201cJornalistas e Audi\u00eancias \u2013 Perce\u00e7\u00f5es Dissonantes\u201d [Journalists and Audiences \u2013 Dissonant Perceptions], the event will explore findings from the MeDeMAP European research project, which revealed significant differences between journalists\u2019 and audiences\u2019 perceptions of news integrity, as well as areas of critical alignment. The discussion will focus on the implications of these results for Portugal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event will feature a keynote and chair by Nuno Cintra Torres (Universidade Lus\u00f3fona) and contributions from a panel of media professionals and experts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Jacinto Godinho (RTP, Journalist Portfolio)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tiago Bessa (Lawyer, European Law)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jos\u00e9 Alberto Lemos (P\u00fablico, former Reader&#8217;s Ombudsman)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maria Almeida (Fuma\u00e7a newspaper).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The session will include a debate and Q&amp;A, offering a unique opportunity to engage with leading researchers and practitioners on the challenges of journalistic integrity and audience perception in contemporary media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lus\u00f3fona University will host the next MeDeMAP event on 19 February 2026, from 10:00 to 12:30, at the Audit\u00f3rio Agostinho da Silva, Lus\u00f3fona \u2013 CUL (Lisbon).
