Registration is now open for the upcoming MeDeMAP international conference, \u201cBeyond the Audience: Rethinking Participation and Power in the Age of Data Capitalism\u201d, which will take place on 15\u201316 January 2026 at IULM University in Rome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event will bring together scholars and researchers from across Europe and beyond to discuss how participation, power, and media are being redefined in data-driven societies. Confirmed keynote speakers include Tiziana Terranova (University of Naples \u2018L\u2019Orientale\u2019) and Sofie Van Bauwel (Ghent University), with additional speakers to be announced in the coming months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Organized within the framework of the MeDeMAP project \u2013 Mapping Media for Future Democracies, the conference invites critical reflections on audiences, participation, and agency in contemporary media environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
